“Stayed two nights while attending Speech Day at Strathallan School and then taking in a rugby match in Edinburgh. Received a very friendly welcome and everything about Smiddy Haugh was great. Didn’t manage to sample dinner but breakfast on both mornings was excellent. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Value for money? Absolutely. Would I return? Certainly.”

The hotel is on Aberuthven’s main street, 400 yards from the A9 and clearly sign-posted.We are roughly 10 miles south of Perth and 20 miles north of Stirling.The nearest town is Auchterarder 3 miles along the road, and just beyond it lies the world famous Gleneagles. Being close to the A9 dual carriageway, Aberuthven is convenient for Scotland’s major cities, with Glasgow and Edinburgh Airport, both within one hour journey time.

The Smiddy Haugh Hotel is gaining a reputation for its excellent cuisine and friendly service. Our Head chef has created lunchtime and evening menus featuring a traditional selection of dishes using the freshest fish, local game, meat and locally sourced seasonal produce.

Bar meals are offered at lunch time and every evening as well as à la carte dinners in the restaurant from 17:30. To avoid disappointment, it is advisable to book a table , particularly at the weekend.
